DIY Hanging Terra Cotta Pot Bird Feeder

Materials
3 small terra cotta pots (each about 6 inches in diameter)
Heavy-duty rope (approximately 10 feet long)
Scissors
Drill with a masonry bit
Tape measure
Sandpaper
Bird seed
Directions
Use the drill with a masonry bit to carefully drill a hole in the center of each terra cotta pot's base. Ensure the hole is large enough for the rope to pass through.
Sand down any rough edges around the drilled holes to prevent the rope from fraying.
Measure and cut the heavy-duty rope into a length that allows for hanging, leaving extra for tying knots.
Thread the rope through the hole in the first pot, tying a knot beneath the pot to secure it in place. Repeat this step for the remaining pots, adjusting the spacing between each pot as desired.
Once all pots are threaded onto the rope, tie a large knot at the top of the rope to create a loop for hanging.
Fill each terra cotta pot with bird seed.
Hang the bird feeder in your desired outdoor location, ensuring it is secure and accessible for birds.

Variations & Tips
Consider painting the terra cotta pots in vibrant colors or patterns to add a personal touch and make them more visually striking. You could also use different sizes of pots for a tiered effect or add small plants alongside the bird seed for a dual-purpose feeder and planter. For added stability, use a thicker rope or incorporate additional knots between pots to prevent shifting. Experiment with different hanging locations and arrangements to best suit your outdoor space.
