Funky Retro Crochet Wall Clock

Materials
Neon green worsted weight yarn, approximately 200 yards
Plastic storage container lids, 2-3 pieces depending on desired size
Clock mechanism kit with hands
Awl or sharp tool for puncturing holes
Crochet hook, size H/8 (5mm)
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Tape measure or ruler
Directions
Use the awl to carefully puncture evenly spaced holes around the edge of each plastic lid, approximately 1/2 inch apart. Ensure the holes are large enough for the yarn to pass through.
Using the crochet hook, attach the neon green yarn through one of the holes and create a slip knot to secure it.
Single crochet around the edge of the lid by inserting the hook into each hole, pulling the yarn through, and completing the stitch. Repeat until the entire edge is covered.
For added texture, consider adding a second round of crochet using a different stitch, such as a double crochet or shell stitch.
Once the crocheting is complete, use the hot glue gun to attach the clock mechanism to the center of the lid. Follow the instructions on the clock kit to ensure the hands are properly attached and functional.
Trim any excess yarn and tidy up the back of the clock for a neat finish.
Add a hook or adhesive strip to the back of the clock for easy wall mounting.

Variations & Tips
For a more subtle look, choose a different yarn color that matches your existing decor. Experiment with different crochet stitches or add beads and other embellishments to the yarn for additional texture and interest. If you prefer a larger clock, use bigger lids or multiple lids connected together. You could also try using lids of different shapes for a more eclectic design.
