Textured Outdoor Solar Lights
Materials
Empty glass jars (size of your choice)
Heavy glue (sufficient to cover jars)
Coarse salt (enough to coat jars)
Plastic solar light tops (one for each jar)
Directions
Thoroughly clean the glass jars and remove any labels or residue.
Apply a generous layer of heavy glue all over the exterior of the jars.
While the glue is still wet, roll the jars in coarse salt, ensuring an even coating.
Allow the jars to dry completely, ideally overnight.
Once dry, attach the solar light tops securely to the jars.
Place the completed lights in desired outdoor locations to charge during the day and light up your space at night.
Variations & Tips
For a different look, consider using colored glass jars or adding a layer of paint before applying the glue. You can also experiment with different textures by using sand, glitter, or small pebbles in place of or in addition to the salt. To personalize each light, try painting designs or patterns on the jars before coating them.
