Coastal Spoon Wreath
Materials
60 white plastic spoons
1 large circular cardboard ring (approximately 18 inches in diameter)
Hot glue gun with glue sticks
Scissors
Ruler or measuring tape
Directions
Lay the large circular cardboard ring flat on your workspace.
Using scissors, carefully cut the handles off all 60 plastic spoons, leaving only the spoon heads.
Begin gluing the spoon heads around the outer edge of the cardboard ring, slightly overlapping each spoon to create a scalloped effect. Make sure the concave side of the spoon is facing outward.
Continue layering the spoons in concentric circles towards the center of the ring. Each subsequent layer should slightly overlap the previous one, like fish scales.
Once all spoons are glued, allow the wreath to dry completely.
Inspect the wreath for any loose spoons and reinforce with additional glue if necessary.
Variations & Tips
For a more colorful option, consider painting the spoon heads in shades of blue, teal, or coral before gluing them to the cardboard ring. This adds a vibrant splash of color that accentuates the coastal theme. Alternatively, you can mix in a few silver or gold spoon heads to create a more festive or elegant look, perfect for holiday seasons or special occasions.
